Even if you’re the ultimate tv show fanatic or a die-hard binge-watcher, we can bet you have not seen all nine of these series! Sometimes it can be really stress-relieving to just lay down with a bowl of popcorn and eat some candy while watching Friends.

1. The Fosters

Synopsis: Teenager Callie Jacob is placed in a foster home with a lesbian couple and their blend of biological, adoptive, and foster children.

This one is sure to keep you entertained- from cliffhangers, to crime, growing up, love, and everything in between, the message portrayed is most definitely a feel-good yet edgy combination. Check it out on Netflix or Hulu!

2. Breaking Bad

Synopsis: A high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to manufacturing and selling methamphetamine in order to secure his family’s future.

To be totally frank, this one isn’t so feel-go and cozy. HOWEVER… once you start, you will more than likely be hooked. This drama/crime show is one of my personal favourites, and it must be due to all the intense unexpected events, suspense and edginess!

3. Jane The Virgin

Synopsis: A young, devout Catholic woman discovers that she was accidentally artificially inseminated. Her life now? Absolutely insane.

Jane The Virgin is full of powerful women, love, culture, feel good moments, and more! The catch? It includes a twist- the suspenseful drama will have you on your toes throughout all five seasons. You just never know what to expect; from double identities, to surprise deaths.

4. Stranger Things

Synopsis: When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief and his friends must confront terrifying supernatural forces in order to get him back.

Stranger Things is very unique compared to the typical sci-fi or horror series. It is filled with friendship, love, and most significantly, terror. You definitely want to check out this one!

5. Alexa And Katie

Alexa and Katie, season 1

Synopsis: Lifelong best friends Alexa Mendoza and Katie Cooper are anticipating the start of their freshman year of high school. They confront a crisis that leaves them feeling like outsiders at a time when what seems to matter most is fitting in.

This eventful Netflix Original faces what the reality of battling Cancer in your teens would really look like. The show takes us through highs and lows, and through it all, it somehow manages to make the viewers feel like they are really there IRL apart of the show.

6. How I Met Your Mother

Synopsis: A father recounts to his children – through a series of flashbacks – the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother.

As much of a classic this one really is, I cannot vouch for the series as it’s still on my “to-watch” list! From what I’ve heard from multiple sources, you will want to check this one out without a doubt. Full of love, laughs and cliff-hangers.

7. Schitt’s Creek

Synopsis: When rich video-store magnate Johnny Rose and his family suddenly find themselves broke, they are forced to leave their pampered lives to regroup in Schitt’s Creek.

This captivating, family-friendly, feel-good show is perfect for taming down after a long day. Schitt’s Creek explores family, navigating through relationships, LGBTQ+ and more. All six seasons, (that’s right, SIX seasons) are available on Netflix!

8. The Mandalorian

Synopsis: The travels of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian is a relatively new, Star Wars fan favourite tv show! It’s an absolute must-watch series if you are a true Star Wars fan! The Mandalorian is available on Disney + streaming service.

9. Friends

Synopsis: Follows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty-something-year-old friends living in Manhattan.
